With over 21 years of touring experience, Mendocino County's Rootstock
plays roots and culture World Beat and Reggae of the highest order. Their
chunky "riddum" guitar, heavy dub bass, tight drum fills, three-part
harmonies and sincere earth-conscious lyrics, are cherished up and down
the coast. Originals written and sung by three different members, give
them the feel of three different bands.
Rootstock has performed at countless festivals such as Reggae on the River,
The Hog Farm Pig-Nic, Trinity Tribal Stomp and Oregon Country Fair. They
have shared the stage with top artists such as Third World, Israel Vibrations,
Burning Spear, The Wailers, Prezident Brown and many more.
