Papa Mali is essentially a solo artist, slide guitarist, singer/songwriter and acclaimed producer. He's also usually seen in the company of some of the funkiest and greasiest musicians on the planet. Recent collaborations include Cyril Neville (Neville Brothers), Big Chief Monk Boudereaux (Golden Eagles), and Anders Osborne. His critically acclaimed CD "Thunder Chicken” was produced by Dan Prothero of Galactic, Mofro, and Robert Walters (Greyboy Allstars). Featuring the ferocious rhythm of Robbie Kidd (drums) and JT Holt (bass), Mali covers the roots, soul, swamp and slide driven juke joint funk that's made him a national attraction.
